A full week in San Francisco allowed me to take in all of the sites that make the city so unique, beautiful, and special. My stops included Alcatraz Prison, the wild and crooked Lombard Street, delicious Chinatown, Muir Woods, Pebble Beach and more.
Notable moments for me were taking a wine tour, a 17-mile drive through the scenic Pacific Grove, and hopping on and off the rice-a-roni trolleys to get around the city. I also have to add that driving on the Golden Gate Bridge was a really cool experience as well!
I went to Fisherman’s Wharf where I had some delicious food—particularly the seafood. Speaking of great seafood, it was during this trip that I tried my first taste of Dungeness crab. It was absolutely incredible. Dungeness crab has a slightly sweet taste and delicate flavor. Dungeness crabs get their name from Dungeness, a city located in the state of Washington. One of my favorite parts of this trip was eating this crab and I’d go back just for that!
