Top Recruiter - Las Vegas

Top Recruiter executive producer and creator Chris LaVoie called me out of the blue one day and said "pack your bags, you're going to Las Vegas for the week". What do you say to that? I said "let's get it going" and off we went.

It was great reuniting with the cast from Season 2 for the HR Tech convention which draws thousands of industry professionals in the Human Resources and Technologies fields. Not only did we shoot some fun segments but we got to play around Vegas a little also.

I hadn't been to Las Vegas in a few years and a lot had changed. I was most impressed with the Aria Hotel which is a $3 billion modern luxury resort that according to Popular Mechanics is "the most technologically advanced hotel ever built". There are expensive shops and great resteraunts and bars for all occasions. One trip to the valet section and you'll notice there is major money flowing through this area.

Valley of Fire

I was planning on visiting Zion and Bryce Canyon but I just so happened to visit during the government shutdown and those parks were unfortunately closed! I did get to see the Valley of Fire which was well worth it and a good option after my first choice. Many Sci-Fi movies, shows, commercials, and photo shoots take place in the area daily. It felt like being on another planet at times which was very cool.
