Talent Attraction - Documentary
As told by seasoned professionals who are deep in the trenches, "Talent Attraction" will focus on agency and corporate recruiters who meet to discuss both old and new innovative ways to attract talent and how the recruiting industry is meeting talent demands. It's always a privilege for me to spend some time in a world outside of my normal element and I've learned so much about job recruiting and the corporate world while taking part in these recruiting "boot camps".
Some familiar faces returned from Top Recruiter season 1 and season 2 as well as some fresh faces. The cast included practitioners from PayPal, Intuit, Major League Soccer, Earls Restaurants, Starbucks, Expedia, and more. Powerhouse recruiter Jeremy Langhans was the host and moderator for the films elite class of recruiting professionals.
Also on set were executives and CEO's from a number of wide ranging companies in many different industries who are looking for talent in a rapidly changing world. As the millennial generation starts to take over the work force, executives are trying to understand how the new world of social media and lifestyle choices of the younger generation factors into the work place.
Millennials are idealistic, diverse, digitally-enabled, social and perhaps most importantly, ambitious. It's clear that they are a powerful generation and those with the right skills will be in high demand. They may be able to command not only a creative reward package but also influence the way they work and how they operate in the work place.
I was also able to sneak in some time to film some scenes for my own documentary called "A Real Rock Story" which will cover the drama and struggle of being in a rock band, the ability of music to carry people through difficult times, the psychology and misconceptions of rock and heavy metal music, the South Florida music scene, and whether or not it's possible to balance a professional career with an artistic lifestyle in the age of social media.
Everyone involved with this film works hard but also plays hard, since we filmed on Superbowl weekend we all met on South Beach to enjoy the game, food, drinks, and great sunny weather. You might be able to tell by the photos that we all had more fun than we knew what to do with.
