Linkin Park - 30 Seconds to Mars
I was lucky enough to meet Linkin Park's singer Chester Bennington when he toured with Linkin Park. I hadn't seen Linkin Park yet so I was excited for this show. I think they're one of the best bands to come out in the new millennium. They've sold over 60 million albums and have a number of hit songs.
Some of my favorite Linkin Park songs are "Don't Stay", "What I've Done", "In The End", "Somewhere I Belong", "Burn It Down", and plenty of others. Usually it's the guitar that draws me to the music but with Linkin Park, it's the lyrics.
The band hit the stage 40min late because Chester had back problems. It was the first time I heard the crowd boo a band which was odd. It was annoying that they came out late and played a shorter set but "things happen".
You may know 30 Seconds to Mars singer Jared Leto from his many acting role. I wasn't much of a fan of their music but they put on a great live show which definetly changed my opinion on them. They have a good sound, good show, and good songs which consist of philosophical and spiritual lyrics. The band has four albums and have sold over 10 million copies. The music has been compared to Pink Floyd, The Cure, Tool, and U2.
