Rob Zombie - Korn - Five Finger Death Punch
"Fort Rock" was a festival in Ft. Myers, Florida with a lot of bands but I was only interested in seeing these three. First up was Five Finger Death Punch, a band from Los Angeles that released their first album "The Way of the Fist" in 2007 and saw a major increase in popularity in 2009 with their release of "Was is the Answer". 5FDP is probably the best rock band to come out in recent years and have some great songs like "Back for More", "Remember Everything", "Under and Over It", and my favorite "Lift Me Up."
Up next is a band that needs no introduction... Korn! They've been around for more than 20 years and have a number of hit rock songs like "Got the Life", "Blind", "Freak on a Leash", and "Falling Away From Me." They've sold about 35 million albums, 12 albums have peaked in the top ten of the Billboard 100 and eight of those were top five. Their influences range from Metallica to hip-hop music which is why they were the first band to be labeled "nu-metal".
The headliner of the festival was non other than Rob Zombie who has seen major success in the music and movie industries. As a founding member of the band White Zombie and solo artist he has released five studio albums, five compilation albums, and a live album. Notable songs include "Electric Head", "More Human Than Human", "Thunder Kiss 65", "Dragula", "Living Dead Girl", "Superbeast", and others.
Rob expanded his talents with a career as a film director and directed six films which he also wrote or co-wrote. He has a passion for horror films that can be seen in not only his music but his movies "House of 1000 Corpses", "The Devil's Rejects", and his first animated film "The Haunted World of El Superbeasto".
