Black Label Society - Butcher Babies
Opening this show were Butcher Babies, a metal band from Los Angeles that has released one EP and one album. They are mostly known for their two attractive female singers Heidi Shepherd and Carla Harvey. Their music is described as Neo-Thrash, shock rock, and heavy metal with influences from Plasmatics, Marilyn Manson, Slayer, Slipknot, and many more. Their show and music were ok but they were mostly fun to look at.
Headlining the show was the legendary master himself... Zakk Wylde. Zakk used to play with Ozzy Osbourne for many years but Ozzy had to replace him because the albums started sounding too much like Black Label Society. He is a versatile songwriter and one of the best guitar players on the planet.
Zakk also acts occasionally and can be seen in the movie "Rockstar" with Mark Whelberg. He was recognized at the Hollywood Rock Walk of Fame for his successful career as a musician and his contribution to the music industry. He has written many classic songs with Ozzy Osbourne and Black Label Society and can play a number of instruments including guitar, piano, keyboards, harmonica, mellotron, organ, mandolin, banjo, and talkbox.
I've seen many concerts and performers before but seeing Zakk up close proved that he is one of the few true remaining rockstars around today. His guitar playing left the audidence with their mouth open wondering how he plays the way he does.
