I met Ozzy and was front row at Black Sabbath! What more is there to say? A lot more actually because this was the best concert experience I've had yet. I managed to get some meet and greet passes with early access to the venue. I arrived around 4pm and hung out backstage with all the food and drinks I could consume.
After some socializing and eating, I was ready to meet the iconic rock legend. I wasn't sure what I was going to say or how it would play out but I had my camera ready and my Blizzard of Ozz CD to get signed. I walked up to him, he shook my hand and signed the CD then said "nice shirt" and I just said "thanks". Then all the sudden he grabs me and says "thank YOU Sir!" and laughed.
After meeting Ozzy it was time to go to my seat which was front row dead center. After going to a lot of shows I can promise you that being up close is a whole other experience. I was wondering how Ozzy would sound and perform since he's getting old and his health isn't the greatest but I can hoestly say that he was right on the money.
They played classics like "War Pigs", "Black Sabbath", "N.I.B.", "Fairies Wear Boots", "Iron Man", "God is Dead?", "Paranoid", and some other more obscure songs. There were only a few times in the set that the crowd wasn't feeling the music but the whole other time it was stellar.
