Air and Sea Show
The Air and Sea show attracts over a million people each year. Spectators get a close up of military planes and sea vessels. The show has seen its share of funding problems, but has come back in full swing recently by sponsorships from major companies like Coca-Cola, Jack Daniels, and Geico as well as local sponsors.
Some of the performers include the "Thunderbirds" who perform 57 high-flying aerobatic demonstrations which have been viewed by over 12 million people. The "Blue Angels" also make an appearance which mesmerizes the entire audience. They train weekly in order to pull off their trademark close formations which at times are less than 3 feet apart.
My favorite sighting was the Northrop Grumman B2 bomber, a plane developed in the 1970's which still impresses today. Seeing it fly over with its stealth technology plays tricks on the eyes by changing perspectives (almost like looking at a 3D cube and seeing different angles pop out at you). This plane can definitely give UFO's a run for their money.
